Saturday Netball
KKPS Magics vs KKHS Saphires
On Saturday was the day when I got really nervous because the people that we were versing were on the on top of the leader board by the goal percentage, but we are winning by no loses. We have versed this team before and we beat them by 9 points I think, but they have up'd there game since last time we versed them.So I was on the court for the whole game and it was tiring because the rain and the wind was strong and I was trying to control myself with the weather getting thrown at us.It was a very good, challenging and interesting game. We won by heaps but it felt like they beat us.
Yay we are winning champs.

BUBZ TOURNAMENT
NETBALL
On Saturday we had a tournament that my coach and her friends/team mates do every year for people to come and have fun play netball basically.
We versed five teams, we were suppose to only verse 3 teams but then we got in the semi finals and then the finals so two extra ones to put on top of the teams we versed. We were do really good throughout the whole tournament and it was really fun i must say. We beat the first team then the second the the third and it felt great we were actually going somewhere in this tournament we got to semi finals and beat that team and after we versed that team we went straight to versing the finalist, we were struggling in the whole game, they were always in front by two or more in each quarter and it was getting to us, we were trying our best but we lost by 5 points it was actually surprising because last year we would always lose by like 20 or 10 points so we weren't that disappointed at least we came runners up and get a prize.

Tuna and Takakau

Tuna & Takakau

So last week we were doing a tuna and takakau week competition that we do every year and how we do it is we get 4 days to set our hinaki and bring your tuna in (tuna is a eel) and then on Thursday you have to bring your takakau in. Your tuna has to be a short fin and then we judge it on the weight, girth, and the length and see who has the biggest. Your takakau gets judged on the taste, presentation, and the texture also you couldn't have decorations on it.The tuna and takakau week was really fun and I hope next term we do something similar.

Matariki Day

On Thursday we had Matariki Day, and I really had a lot of fun. I really felt like on Thursday that it was traditional and I was like in the olden days which was amazing.First in the morning we had Powhiri, after that all the parents that were here for the Matariki Day went into the Whare Kai to have a cup of tea and etc. When they finished they came up to their children to see what they have learnt in the whole term and etc. We all went across the road and performed for the parents, then went back across the road to the Marae and had lunch our lunch was hangi it was so delicious. All the parents went back home and me and some other friends went to clean up the Marae then went to play a game.
