Can it ice cream?

For the past two days me and my group made ice cream it was really cool, interesting, and fun.

What were we learning to do? To understand the science behind making ice cream.

What did you learn? I learnt to make ice cream very easy, I learnt to use less products to make a simple delicious breakfast ice cream, and that ice cream can be a science experiment. 

What did you do? me and my group got the mixture of ice cream, salt ice and the breakfast ingredients to put into the ice cream mixture. We tipped our breakfast ingredients into the ice cream mixture and celled the bag up nice and tight so the mixture of ice cream wouldn´t spill so we put the mixture of ice cream with the breakfast ingredients inside of the mixture and put it into a big bag that had salt ice to make the ice cream mixture a solid so we celled the salt ice bag nice and tight so no water comes dripping out because of the ice cubes melting. We put a 5 minute timer on and then shook the bag for 5 minutes straight so the ice cream won´t be a liquid anymore it will turn into a solid. After shaking it for 5 minutes we tipped the salt ice out on the concrete which mad the concrete white but then we went back inside opened the ice cream bag up and it was still liquidy which means we had to have more salt ice but our hole class room didn´t have enough for all the groups because we only had 1 bag of ice which wasn´t enough so we poured it on our plates we ate it and gave it to the other 3 groups that we were competing against in our block of groups. Our group gave some of our ice cream to our teacher ad said it was very breakfasty once every one had a taste test we scored each others point 1 to 5. My group came second with another group and one other group lost and another group came first. 

What was your over all reflection of the experience? That it was so good it was very breakfasty but it was really like a breakfast smoothie so next time we need more salt ice to make it become a breakfast ice cream.

10 year old party

Today we had a 10 year old party that we had to go it was a dress up party my family was going as minions it was stressful for my mum to get the costumes for us our hole family had the stuff ready except for Ngaere my little sister my mum bought a full costume of a minion and it was coming on the day before the party but it didn´t come on that day so we waited until the next day which is going to be the party day. In the morning my mum and sister went down to our nans to go see if the minion costume got delivered but it wasn´t so we had to go and by my sister a yellow Tukau legacy top and we all went as Maori minions my mum said. We got ready we went to go pick up Ngaereś t-shirt season gave it to us we said thank you and gave some fry bread and we took pictures which was annoying.
We went to the party 1 hour earlier than when it actually started so that was fun!!. I got dressed out of my pants that I was wearing because it got really annoying so yeah. We partied hard with my little sisters friend and with Olivia, had heaps of food, chilled on the couch, played with people at the party and watched a interesting kids movie with the little kids then my family went home.  THE END!!
Why I chose to write this? because it was something that happened in the weekend, it was very simple to write about and it was something that I didn´t have to over think.
What I found easy and hard? I found it easy because it was simple to write about and I didn´t find anything hard.
What is my next step? My paragraphs are deliberately sequenced and structured I use a range of language features that link ideas, to enhance the flow of the entire text.

Saturday fun day

Today I woke up and thought that I had my prize giving with my team tomorrow but than my mum said I had it today I got ready hoping that it wouldn´t be active so me and my dad went down to Whangarei all day me and my team meet up at people´s penitential. We got there had our prize giving and after prize giving we had a mean as feed we hanged out after the beautiful Kai we had and cached up with each other it was real cool. But unfortunate it was active. We went to shot off and got to temple bowling and lazier maze we were sitting around so we could sort out our teams for the day so we went to go and do temple bowling first I was in front of my group with maxamin of 10 points in front but then my dad cached up the lucky feather and bet me by 6 points. We were waiting for these old ladies to hurry up and finish there time in the lazier maze they finished and my team just wanted to get in there and bet our opponents so ran in the and were blasting each other my team was winning we had a really good strategy and the other team were just running for the lives. WE WON!!. We went to go to flip out and checked in we were doing tricks and flips on the tramp after an hour I hopped off the tramp and went to go take a break because I was sweating like a pig then I went to go and jump back on the tramp for about 20 minutes or so and then we left and said our goodbyes and can wait to see them next year. THE END!!!!!!
Why I chose this writing? because it was something that was fun in the weekend and I wanted to write about.
What I found easy and hard? I found it easy because its a simple story to tell and I really didn´t find anything hard.
What is my next step? To use all the structural features appropriate to the genre. And I use a range of language features that are appropriate to the purpose and show that I have used them for effect.

This is my writing that I did last week and decided that I would put as this weeks blog post with my other two blog post that I did this week.I did a explanation writing it was quite fun because I already knew how to write a explain writing and I knew what to write about and I already had the facts to put into my writing.

Why you should recycle,reuse,reduce.

I can write a variety of sentences, all of which are grammatically correct,Most of my sentences are deliberately structured for effect e.g. length, type, extended phrases and clauses, simple, compound and complex sentences. This problem is very rare only some people recycle,reuse,reduce and more people need to get use to doing it. It is a very dangerous problem to our planet with people just leaving there rubbish where ever they go and think its alright most of our planet is getting polluted by the toxic rubbish chemicals getting dragged in the air yet it is happening every single day. Just a few piece of rubbish can make the world a nasty place to live in. There is literally a quarter or a half of people that recycle,reuse,reduce. People really think that nothing is happening to the planet when everyone litters. Did you know that over a quarter of people in the world don't recycle Rubbish is probably one of the most dangerous thing in the world compared to things that bite or that can make you die from something in you that gets infected. Most people get sick by the toxic chemicals in the air or by accidentally eating and etc. Toxic chemicals from rubbish can likely kill you and animals mostly animals because they are wild animals and rubbish gets usually where they are and live and they eat rubbish because they don't know what it is because they don't have the human knowledge like humans really. Most people in the world don't reuse there stuff that can normally be used more than once. Reusing is a thing that only a quarter of people in the world reuse so that it doesn't cost money to get more and more things that can be useful more than once.Every year Americans throw away 50 billion food and drink cans, 27 billion glass bottles and jars, and 65 million plastic and metal jar and can covers and this is only a country that does this think about all the other countryś that do it.More than 30% of everybody's waste is packaging materials. Our rubbish goes to the garbage and gets sent to a dump, or landfill, where it takes up to 100 to 400 years for things like fabric and aluminum to decompose or dissolve. Glass has been found in perfect condition after 4,000 years in this earth. We are quickly running out of space in this world and everybody needs to start recycle,reuse,reduce because once that space is up we are going to be battened and no one will be able to do anything about it. It is now time to learn the three rś of our environment. Everybody should know you shouldn't buy things you don't need or items that come with wasteful packaging or that cannot be recycled. Reuse,recycle and reduce whatever you can for everyone's sake. Recycling,reducing and reusing is really important as I've already discussed because it is the most important thing in the world that you should do because if no one does it there will be no more space on this planet and no one will be able to be alive. Instead of throwing things away, try to find ways to use them again. Many of the things we use every day, like paper bags, soda cans, and milk cartons, are made out of materials that can be recycled and that should be used every time instead of wasteful stuff.Reducing the amount of waste you produce is the best way to help the environment.

This is my buoyancy inquiry!!

So for the past 2 weeks me and my group have been working on a buoyancy activity and it was quite annoying going back and forwards going on the slide but it was actually cool and interesting finding out things that I did not even know and I always love working with a group. But the best thing is that I learn´t from it. 

This is my Te reo activity

Today we did a very fun Te Reo Maori activity it was quite easy to walk around the classroom being blind folded and getting instructions from the person who was saying it in Maori it was quite hard to remember the words but I got through it and found the blocks that we were suppose to find.I had partner to do it with which is my best friend but her name is jacque and it was so easy to do it with her she said the Maori words so clearly and it was so easy to find the blocks but then I had to control her and say were they were in Maori and it was pretty easy.

This is my Technology

This is my technology activity that I chose out of these other technology activities it was so fun and also it was super cool but it taught me something that I could never do if I didn´t find this online music player thing.I recommended that people should try it.

Spelling activity

This week I didn't really know what to do for a blog post so I kind of whipped something up about my work and I did my spelling activity. This blog post was really easy to do it was really a piece of cake.I had to do ten words and get pictures that relate to the words and I had to do a dictation.

Free writing

Once upon a time there was a lady that lived in the woods she was 35 years old her name was Samantha she was so angry and sad about her family dying in a fire she use to live in at an old place called woodman road she has never been there since the fire and she was the only one that got out of the fire she didn't know who started it but she did know that it wasn't an accident. She was 30 at the time she had 4 kids and a husband she had so much love for them. Once the house caught on fire she went to go and run for her life but there was a house she found in the middle of the woods and there was a young family in there but she stormed into the house and found a gun right next to the door locked and loaded she fired at the family killing them one by one without even thinking of what she got herself into as a mother that just lost her only family that was alive.She had been living in that house that she just killed people in for 5 years and never went outside.She became a wanted lady but no one got to find her so she went outside and said that she need to change her life around so she gave herself in to the cops and she got charged with murder and stayed in jail for 10 years and once she finished her years of being in jail she went to get her life into order and she became a millionaire she helped the poor, she  got some workers to clean around the world and she was everybody's  hero and she still regrets what she did 10 years ago. So we as a class had to write every Monday to learn and to get better at writing basically.

This is my hexagon reading activity it was all about buoyancy that I did this week it was really easy to do because I knew a little bit about buoyancy and then all I had was to search up some facts about buoyancy and put buoyancy facts into my own words it was as simple as that.

I took to long to finish this video I had to get done like a month ago because I didn't know how to do it altogether so I only had 3 days to work on my video and the sooner I got pushed to do it the more I finished it and if I didn't finish it until the day it was due I would have to be in my classroom in detention all week if I didn't finish it. So what I did was I downloaded I movie on my phone then downloaded voice memo to do my voice over for my video. So I did not know how to put my video altogether and that was why I took so long to finish my video and when I worked out how to use I movie I started to do my voice overs and put my pictures into the video it was hard to do and also we had to get it done last term in week 8  but I din't know what to do. So I asked people but they wouldn't help and my teacher would try and make me stay in but I would always make up excuses and I'm usually not like that but I didn't want to suffer the consequences of staying in all the time when I didn't know what I was doing and also I'm a girl that loves playing sports not staying into work. So my mum came into school and made me so frustrated about this video and when my teacher told my mum when I needed it to be done I had to push and try other ways to put my video together and when I found out how to do it all I started to work on it every second I had to get it done. But once I got this video done it felt like a hole lot of weight lifted off my shoulders.

My reading activity

This week we read and learnt about climate change. Climate change means understanding the greenhouse effect a natural process that keeps our planet warm using energy from the sun.Climate change is very dangerous to us humans.Climate change controls the weather such as hot and cold.

Maori

We were learning to give and follow simple instructions in Maori.

The directions we learnt were hard but easy at the same time.

our task was to shut our eyes and follow simple instructions from our partner.

I found this easy but hard at the same time because I would remember some of the Maori words that my partner was saying and then I would forget some of the other Maori words.

My next steep is to memorize all the Maori directions.

My sport holiday

My holiday was half full of butter fly's and other half was so excited. Firstly I started to pack my bags on Friday night and I was so excited to go to Rotorua and play league which was a surprise because I have never played league in my entire life. What was so cool though was that a lot of my family stuck by me through the hole experience even when their was ups and downs.So I left at 6 or 7 in the morning to go down town so I could catch my ride to Whangarei. We had to stop in at Whangarei because we had to get our full merch and to catch up with our other players of our team after we catched up we had to do a Haka practice.(WE SHOT OFF TO AUCKLAND!!). We stopped half way to Auckland and had a feed then we just had a really long ride to Rotorua. WE GOT TO ROTORUA? we got welcomed into the Marae and after the warm welcome we settled in and had a look around the whole place and it was so pretty but it was really stink. First day of the tournament was very bad but then we got use to it on the last game of the day.Once we got ready for the last day of the tournament we had to vs bay of plenty for 3rd or 4th our team was struggling at the start they were nilling us by  about 12 points to be at least but we started finding out ways and started picking each other up.We started to get points on the board and there was 30 sec on the clock and we were just playing around for a little bit and then bay got the ball back and they got the last tries of the game but me bet them 24 to 18 and I had the privilege of playing for Northland and I will be doing it again next year.

Quality blog post activity

I am learning to do a quality blog post and my task for this week was to explain to people the importance and much more.I learnt how to do it this week and also last week it was about how to do a blog post. I liked writing it in this activity.What I didn't like was explaining. What I found easy was writing the steps and the importance etc.What I found harp was explaining it. My next step is to try and explain things more often on my blog.I have used google drawing to present this activity.enjoy my work.

This is my reading activity (Gold mining)

So what I had to learn was Identify key supporting information and supporting details in an article.
I liked this activity because I found heaps of things that happened and that I have never known of in this story. I kinda didn't like it because it was a bit hard trying to put information into my own words.It was mostly easy because of how me and my partner were working together on it.maybe next time I should try and gather information and put it into my own words.I hope you enjoy my work that I did this week.

This is my maths eyes

This is what I did today so my class had to do a math eyes and post it to our blog. We had to look at a picture and come up with questions that compare to math, We also had to look at the picture and see if we can find any math shapes etc. It was quite hard trying to find things and trying to make up questions but I got through and made question/things I could see.

This is my student conference and I have done this for the past 3 or 2 weeks it was fun and interesting about how much I have achieved in my subjects. It was a hectic term in term 2 but I think I did alright. So for my behaviour there is images which is a thumbs up. I hope you enjoy!! 

Genius hour

This is my genius hour I did this last term but had no chance to post it on my blog so I did this with a few of my friends and I chose (who is the top 10 greatest sport people of all time?) I/friends chose this question because we love sports and one day I might try and play one of these games that they did there whole life. These people inspire me and other people but these are the people that have been the greatest, top 10 people in the world. I had fun doing this it was interesting and very cool to find out about them.

This is my pizza DLO that me and my friends did for technology this week and it was fun,cool,interesting because it was a different and new way of doing and making pizza to  me and my friends. The mozzarella cheese came out awesome, tasty and very stretchy. That experience will be cherished for life.

This is my world record

This is my world record that we did for about 3 weeks and it was amazing and fun. We had to create a world record of our self that was achievable and record able. I did some recording of myself doing it and also I'm sorry that there are other people in the recordings that are doing there world records. Us three girls went to pair up together and did videos together. Sorry that some videos are dark it's because it was about to rain and it was a cloudy day and that you couldn't see us properly. Sorry that we were arguing a little bit it was UN responsible of us to do that.We could cut any disrespectful stuff in the videos because we didn't know how to.

this is my book report

This week we had to do a book report on a chapter book that we had to read and finish at the end of the week I did chasing danger it is a cool book it is kinda boring but still really cool. THIS IS MY PEPEHA

This week we have been doing our Pepeha. At our school everyone officially gets a opportunity  to share their pepeha to the school taumata so everyone can know our whakapapa and know we can be  confident more when we do more of our pepeha in front of the whole school.I have found it easy to learn my pepeha off by heart but I'm shy when I stand up in front of the whole school to do my pepeha.I hope by the end of this year I will be more confident to do more of standing and doing my pepeha.Will you be able to hand me some tips so I don't be so shy to stand up to a audience?
