Johnson Davis
Orientation
Johnson Davis is a special man to this community but sadly he passed away after a long hard
journey fighting cancer. Johnson Davis was a wonderful man, he would always help out with
anything and do as much as he can for our community. Johnson Davis left a long and admirable
legacy for this community. Johnson Davis wistfully passed away on October the 11th 2019, at the
age of 75. He was much loved by his wife Lisa and father of 4 kids and 5 grand kids.

Family:
Lisa Davis is Johnson's wife and he is a father to  4 lovely kids whose names are
Georgina, John, Darryl and Tina. He is a grandfather to 5 grand kids named Joel, Jason Kowhai,
Opal, Tonja and Tegan.

Getting Awards
Everyone tells others that he’s got a good work ethic and he has made many
contributions to the community. He was so recognised that even a man named R Carter
presented the special community award on behalf of the Far North District Council and
reiterated the special place that Mr Davis would always hold in the life and history of the
Kawakawa Community.

Legacy:
Johnson Davis was special and so important to our community,  he made
an outstanding legacy of contribution to community that will be remembered for years
go on. Not much happened in Kawakawa that Johnson Davis didn ́t have a hand in the
community centre, the Bay of Islands pool, the Hundertwasser park, the community
board, the business association, and much more. When he unfortunately passed at the
age of 75, Fellow railway Trust stalwart Frank Leadley who organised the function detailed
Mr Davis Extraordinary record of service to his Community.

Conclusion
Whether Johnson davis was chairing a meeting or painting a railway carriage, he was always
proud of the work that he pursued. Johnson davis was made with many talents and he would
help out as much as he could. He loved the community and how the community was running.
He did so much for this community and we will love him because of that, he was such a caring,
honest and interesting man that will be loved for eternity.

  1. He was certainly a very important person to our community, one that was involved in all community events and always helping to improve it. Great piece of writing. Maybe next time you could look at publishing it in an interesting way, and have pictures to support your writing.
