Writing

This is my Bee Writing, we got to choose out of three piece of writing that we can put in way to present a bee piece of writing. I did a information report about obviously bees.It was so easy making a information report writing because I always do this type of writing.

BEES

Bees are flying insects exclusively related to wasps and ants. Bees are known
for their role in pollination and, in the case of the best-known bee species, the
western honey bee, for producing honey and beeswax.

Appearance:
Most bees measure up to about 15 mm long or less and are light brown, black,
yellow in color. Honey bees are usually oval-shaped creatures with yellow colors
and brown bands.  Although the body color of honey bees differ between species
and some honey bees have mainly black bodies, almost all honey bees have
ranging dark-to-light channels. Bees have lots of fur on the top bit of its body
and only a little at the bottom, this is used to catch pollen and is essential for
the pollination process. Bees have three body parts (head, thorax, and abdomen).
They also have six legs like most other insects.

Reproduction:
Firstly the queen bee lays an egg in the hive. Day six the larva looks like a little
peanut. Day ten when the larva is fully grown to the top the workers feed the larva
and seals the cell with wax. Day fifteen the bee is starting to grow all his body parts
and is slightly showing color. Day eighteen the bee has got his color it just needs
a few more days to get stronger and break out of its nest, day twenty one comes
out of its nest.

Diet:
Bees are attracted to sugars, and especially are drawn to sugary drinks. Bees
collect pollen and nectar from a different flowering plants, including milkweed,
dandelions, clover, goldenrod and a whole lot of different fruit trees. Bees are
also drawn towards some other little things like soft drinks and frozen treats.

Habitat:
People say that bees live mostly in tropical zones and heavily forested areas.
Honey bees can flourish in natural, though they prefer to live in gardens,
woodlands, orchards, meadows and other areas where flowering plants.

Behavior:
Chemicals that bees and other insects manufacture that effects, or impacts,
behavior of other bees are mainly called pheromones. In honey bees these
chemicals are constructed by the queen, workers, and probably drones.
Bees can actually maintain a close relationship with humans but if a bee
feels unwelcome then Bees protect itself by having a stinger at the end of its body.

Bees are extremely important  and they need to be looked after by us human beings.
This will allow them to do their jobs of producing honey for us and pollinating the worlds
plants. Bees are really good insects, you may say that they are devil insects but it's just that sometimes they feel unwelcome and the only thing that can protect themselves
is to sting people.

Move a-thon

Move a-thon
On Wednesday the year 7 & 8s did a move a-thon to fundraiser for our camp this year that we are going to. A move a-thon is when we had to run the court for 10 hours without stopping it's similar to a run a-thon. We had to run 8am to 6pm it was quite hard at points but then easy at the same time. It was really fun doing the move a-thon.You might say that it isn't easy for one person to just 10 hours straight that's why we had shifts, we got in to 7 groups and ran for 30 mins each group and then after school we played games and kept running around the court. We got a couple of growling's because we weren't doing it properly but that just made us more motivated. Everybody was tired and just felt like going to sleep but we pushed and finished and to be completely honest our feet almost had blisters but at the end of the day it was worth it because we get paid and we can pay off some of the money that we need to pay for our camp.CAN'T WAIT UNTIL WE GO TO CAMP!!
